01Who we are

Uptic Hospitality is a remote-first hospitality consulting firm based in New York. Our mailing address is 28 Spring Street, Suite 5166, Princeton, NJ 08542. We help independent hotels with digital presence, revenue strategy and the guest journey. In this policy, “Uptic,” “we” and “us” mean Uptic Hospitality, and “you” means anyone who visits uptichospitality.com or works with us.

This policy covers this website and the information we handle when you contact us or become a client. The terms of a client engagement are set out in that client’s agreement, which takes priority if the two differ.

02What we collect

Information you give us

When you use our contact form, request a free first look or email us, we receive what you choose to share. That usually includes:

  • Your name, email address and, if you provide it, your phone number
  • Your hotel’s name and website
  • The services you’re interested in
  • Your role, and anything you tell us about your hotel in your message

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours receives some technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the site that referred you. Our hosting provider records this in standard server logs to keep the site running and secure.

We do not ask for payment details, government ID numbers or sensitive personal information through this website. Please don’t include them in a message.

03How we use it

  • To reply to you and continue the conversation you started
  • To prepare a free first look at your hotel when you request one
  • To plan, deliver and report on work we agree to do together
  • To send Insights updates, only if you have signed up for them
  • To keep the website working, secure and easy to use
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use it to make automated decisions about you.

04Client and hotel information

When we work with a hotel, we may be given access to business information such as booking and revenue data, channel reports, website analytics, guest reviews and system settings. We use it only to deliver the agreed scope of work, treat it as confidential, and limit access to the people working on the project.

Where hotel systems contain guest information, we access it only as far as the agreed work requires. We do not copy guest data into our own records, contact a hotel’s guests, or use it for any other purpose.

Our case studies publish a hotel’s name, results or numbers only with that hotel’s written permission.

05Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Our website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work properly and securely.

We may also use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which pages are read most. These tools use cookies to collect information about your visit in a form that is not used to identify you personally. We use this only to improve the website.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features may not. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.

06Who we share it with

We share information only with trusted service providers that help us run the business, and only as much as they need to do their job. These include:

  • Our website host, Hostinger, which stores the site and its data
  • Our email and form tools, which deliver and store the messages you send us
  • Analytics providers, if in use, as described above
  • Google Fonts, which provides the typefaces on this site; your browser connects to Google to load them
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountant or lawyer, when needed

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

07Email updates

We plan to offer occasional Insights updates by email. We will send them only to people who sign up, and every email will include a link to unsubscribe. Replying to a contact form message does not sign you up.

08How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as it is useful for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires. As a guide, inquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within two years. Client records are kept for the length of the engagement and afterwards as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Email subscribers are removed as soon as they unsubscribe.

09Keeping it secure

The website uses an encrypted (SSL) connection, and we limit access to client and personal information to the people who need it. We choose providers with strong security practices. No website or system can be completely secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as required by law.

10Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is wrong or out of date
  • Delete your information, unless we must keep it by law
  • Stop sending you email updates

Depending on where you live, including in some U.S. states, the United Kingdom and the European Union, you may have additional rights, such as receiving a copy of your data or objecting to how we use it. We honor these requests wherever they apply.

To make a request, email us at hello@uptichospitality.com. We may need to confirm your identity, and we will respond within 30 days. We will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

11Visitors outside the U.S.

Uptic is based in New York and works remotely with hotels elsewhere. Information you send us is processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Where the law requires a legal basis for using your information, ours is your consent, the steps needed to answer your request or deliver a contract, our legitimate interest in running and improving the business, or a legal obligation.

12Children

This website is intended for hotel owners and professionals. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

14Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as our website and services grow, for example when we launch email updates. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on this page.
