The hotelier behind Uptic

It started with
a simple pleasure:
helping a guest.

My first job in hospitality was at the front desk, working evenings and nights. A wake-up call, directions to Central Park, or information about a theatre—helping with those everyday requests brought me real joy.

That simple beginning became a profession. I went on to earn a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree, building a career around understanding guests, leading hotel teams, and helping independent hotels perform at their best.

My entire hospitality career has been in independent hotels. I understand the pressure of competing in a city like New York—and the opportunity independent hotels have to create something more personal, distinctive, and memorable.

Uptic brings that experience to independent hotels that want to perform better without losing what makes them independent.

Independent thinking.
Grounded in experience.

What we believe

Your individuality is your advantage.
Every part of your hotel should express it.

The Uptic Connection

When everything connects,
your hotel
moves forward.

Digital presence, revenue strategy, and the guest journey should work together. Uptic looks at how each influences the others—creating stronger alignment across the hotel and better performance.

A clear digital presence sets the right expectations. A thoughtful revenue strategy turns demand into opportunity. A connected guest journey helps deliver on the promise.

Explore how the three connect

01 / PRESENT

The first welcome happens online.

A clear website builds trust. Accurate room information helps guests choose with confidence. A simple booking journey turns that confidence into a reservation.

What Uptic offers

Three services.
One connected approach.

Each service can stand on its own. Together, they help your hotel present itself clearly, price with confidence, and create an experience that gives guests a reason to return.

01Be seen clearly

Digital Presence

Present your hotel accurately and make it easier for guests to understand, trust, and book directly.

Ideal when your website, photos, or listings don’t reflect the stay you actually offer.

02Perform with purpose

Revenue Strategy

Connect pricing, demand, and distribution with the realities of your independent hotel.

Ideal when rates feel reactive, channel costs are rising, or direct bookings aren’t growing.

03Create connection

Guest Journey

Carry your hotel’s promise from the first online impression through the stay—and give guests a reason to return.

Ideal when reviews repeat the same concerns, or too few guests return and book directly.

Not sure where to start? Most hotels begin with a conversation—we’ll recommend the service that fits, or a combination.

From connectionto action

The Uptic Approach

A clear plan.
A stronger hotel.

Bringing the three disciplines together starts with understanding where the gaps are. Uptic follows five practical steps to identify what matters, make the right changes, and measure what improves.

We set the priorities together, put the changes into action, and measure the results.

Understand the hotel.
Connect the details.
Make progress measurable.
01Understand

Assess where your hotel stands today.

We review your digital presence, performance data, and guest feedback to establish a clear starting point.

THE OUTCOME → A clear picture of where your hotel stands
02Discover

Identify what isn’t working—and why.

We examine your website, booking process, online listings, and revenue approach to uncover obstacles and missed opportunities.

THE OUTCOME → A clear view of where improvement is possible
03Prioritize

Focus on what needs to improve first.

We organize recommended improvements by impact, effort, and cost—giving you a focused plan to review and approve.

THE OUTCOME → Clear priorities and an agreed scope
04Build

Put the right improvements in place.

With agreed access and approvals, we implement the website, listing, revenue, and guest-communication improvements defined in the project scope.

THE OUTCOME → Practical improvements, implemented and documented
05Measure

See what changed—and what comes next.

We compare agreed measures with the starting point, document what changed, and recommend refinements while considering seasonality and other influences.

THE OUTCOME → Clear evidence to guide the next step

1Focus: your hotel

Working together

A relationship,
not a transaction.

Great hospitality is built on trust. I believe working with a hotel should be no different. My goal is to become the person you can call when something needs attention—knowing you’ll get practical, honest advice from someone who understands independent hotels.

“I treat every hotel I work with the way I learned to treat every guest: listen carefully, keep my promises, and follow through.”— Tariq Khan
